Asaan accounts are meant for low income/unbanked/under banked masses, with minimum documentation. These accounts cater to the banking needs of skilled/unskilled work force, farmers, less educated men and women, self employed individuals, pensioners, young adult population.
Salient features :
a) Only individuals having no proof of income can open these accounts in Pak Rupees as single or joint account.
One CNIC holder can open only one such account (single or joint) in a Bank.
b) These can be Current or Savings accounts by nature.
c) These accounts shall preferably be card-based, but cheque books can be issued if customer so desires.
d) Account opening form is simple one pager.
e) Initial deposit for opening of account is Rs 100/- but no minimum balance is required to be maintained.
